Creating at The Gray Wing Studio 2

We are a small group of students and a teacher. We do art with the intentions of challenging the artist in us and encouraging each other with hearts and minds of Christ.

Knowing it aides in our growth, we often do technique and medium that we are not crazy about. Our attitudes are positive in nature. This studio is a safe place. We talk about everything under the sun with an appropriate manner and approach. We meet our co-creator God with each stroke of the brush. We make art for the sake of leaning into the art expression given to us since birth.

Proctor C. is a young student who did a study of ancient tattoos dating back to the time of the Crusades. This is the cover to his “box of sketches”. Tattoos, yes I said tattoos, were often applied to the wrist and shown as a security measure when entering a place of worship. A tattoo family business is still in operation in Jerusalem dating back to the crusades. Tattoos were also a “right of passage” upon completion of a pilgrimage journey through the Holy Land.
